Women Interactive has ended
Women Interactive is a creative technology festival for women with a special focus on women of color who produce and share media content taking place in the Cosby Building at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia on October 13, 2012. In keeping with the fast paced nature of technology, the WI Festival will allow college students, collegiate faculty, technology and media professionals and enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with innovative technology by following the three pillars on which the festival is based: Interaction, Education and Inspiration. The three pillars are exemplified through three festival tracks: Creating Content, Sharing Content and Monetizing Creativity.

@ashia is the Chief Transmedia Officer of Art of Genius Creative Technology Series and Founding Curator of Women Interactive Creative Technology Festival. She is also the Chief Content Manager at Friday Girl TV, a web station for women. Ashia has worked in the field of television and film production for over 10 years. She has worked on television projects for BET, Fox, Peachtree TV, Starz in Black and NBC as well as several feature film projects. She is passionate about empowering women to be their best selves and stepping outside of the status quo. She represents one of the early generations of kids to grow up sitting in front of a computer and enjoys tech talk about the latest smart phone and other devices.

Ashia resides in Atlanta, GA and loves attending festivals like Comic Con and Dragon Con and making time to read and write horror and science fiction stories.
